Position: Technical Support Representative
Responsibilities:
1. Make certain that all customer issues assigned to them are properly administered.
2. Be able to work independently and within a team environment.
3. Ability to exercise independent thought troubleshooting customer’s device and network deployments
4. Review and assess situations that may be varying between very simple to extremely complex network configurations without guidance.
5. Understanding of basic TCP/IP networking, XP, Win2000, NT, Win9x setup and administration, PC hardware architecture, and setup and configuration of current products
6. Working understanding of WAN protocols such as PPP (including PPPoE), DHCP, Frame Relay, etc
7. Knowing and assisting customers with issues regarding products: setup and configuration, maintenance, and integration with common third party products
Requirements:
1. One year technical support/customer services experience is a plus
2. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as excellent organizational skills
3. Associate Degree preferred and/or equivalent professional training certifications
4. Base certifications (MCP, A+, CCNA) or equivalent of 1-2 years of real life network and PC experience.
• Additional experience in Workforce Management and MIS background will be a plus
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree or Post Graduate Diploma / Master’s Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Required skill(s): Win95/98/NT, Linux, Internet Applications.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Estwood, Libis.
