We are actively seeking to hire an experienced Application Developer (Software Programmer) to support our U.S. offices! This position will be based in our Makati offices and will also be a day shift position. The Application Developer plays a key role within the application development team.  This individual works closely with the Application Development Manager to ensure the successful completion of assigned department projects.  He or she will essentially represent the teams “best practices” in action providing an example for other members of the team to emulate.  The Application Developer will proactively seek out ways to improve process/system efficiencies and will work with the Principal Application Developer to ensure that team goals are attained.  The Application Developer manages projects.  This includes management of development resources, conducting of progress meetings, communication of project status to all levels of the company, and interfacing with other departments during the development lifecycle.  The Application Developer is a major contributor to department brainstorming and design meetings.

Requirements:
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

1. Minimum of 5 years application development experience.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in designing and developing databases and database systems.
3. Strong experience with data analysis, data mining and data modeling.
4. Minimum 3 years experience in C# and .Net framework  Java experience is a big plus
5. MUST have strong database design experience using  MS SQL 2005 (or later)
6. MUST have a strong understanding of RDBMS with database normalization.
7. MUST be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.
8. 4 years experience writing complex SQL script using TSQL, Cursors and Logic under MS SQL Server.
9. Strong background in database administration, performance tuning and indexes.

Application Developer I

Responsibilities:
The Application Developer’s role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Application Developer will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

* Create PeopleSoft technical application design documents.
* Assist in the definition, development and documentation of software´s business requirements, objectives, deliverables and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
* Writing detailed documentation for the operation of the program by users and computer operators.
* Performs key portions of the system development lifecycle including designing, coding, testing, documenting, installing, and maintaining custom applications.

Requirements:

* Bachelor´s degree in the field of computer science, information systems or computer engineering.
* 1-2 years equivalent relevant experience.
* Two years of in-depth experience creating business related applications in a Microsoft-based Object Oriented language (MS-Visual Basic, MS-Visual FoxPro, MS-ASP, .NET) .
* A mid to high-level of experience in two or more of the following development languages: MSVisual Basic, .NET, ASP.NET, MS-Visual FoxPro, MS-SQL Server, MS-Access.
* A strong understanding of object oriented languages and development methods.
* A strong understanding of structured programming methods and data normalization concepts.
* Experience with the following development technologies: ODBC, OLE, and OCX concepts, Crystal Reports and MS-Visual Source Safe.
