Desktop / System Support Engineer – 6 positions
(Kuala Lumpur – KL Sentral)

Responsibilities:

* Position 1 – Desktop Support Engineer

* Prompt response to all customers’ requests politely.
* Provide onsite support services at customer premises.
* Configuration, installation, and support services for desktop computers, Windows OS and printers.
* Utilizing change management processes to implement system enhancements, software upgrades and the installation of new products.
* Maintaining hardware and software equipment inventories with associated documentation.
* Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair desktop laptop, hardware and computer peripherals.
* Upgrade or replaces faulty hardware, which includes the setup of workstations and the installation and configuration of hardware drivers.
* Provide voice support, E-Mail support and remote technical support to all the end users.
* Handle internal support phone calls during office hours.
* Troubleshooting the entire desktop, laptop, hand held related problems and contribute to the Knowledge base of the team for effective incident closure.
* Provide over the phone diagnosis, trouble-shooting and resolution of computer systems within the scope of service to end user.
* Analyze and articulate complex issue in a simplified and easy to understand manner.
* Understand and communicate the right expectations of service deliverables to the various stakeholders.
* Handle outstanding service requests and follow-up with customer for closure.
* Escalation of issues to the relevant experts or authorities to obtain acceptable resolutions.
* Preparing weekly reports.
* Applicants must be willing to work under shift environment.
* Willing to work on any network related needs.

* Position 2 – System Support Engineer

* Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures/processes for all Microsoft Windows Servers
* Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issue with the systems.
* Perform management on server domain controller policy and management.
* Work closely with the system administrative team and quality assurance teams to build high-quality systems that meet customer expectations.
* Identify future features that could be developed to enhance capabilities
* Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP etc
* Install, configure & deploy Windows Operating Systems server ( Windows 2000, Windows 2003 , and 2008 Operating System )
* Troubleshoot and analyze OS and MS components / software problems
* Compliance to processes such as Incident Management, Change Management and Service Level Agreement.
* Fine tune and conduct health check on all servers include network monitoring
* Perform performance and capacity planning in allocated server.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a diploma / degree in Information Technology /Computer Science/Electrical or Electronics.
* Required skill(s): good IT support/security background, good communication skills, flexible, experience in supporting IT security related solution.
* Applicant with customer service background will be an added advantage.
* Required language(s): English/BM, English/Mandarin/BM.
* Applicants must be willing to work in customer premises.
* 3 to 5 years desktop and IT security support experience.
* Familiarity to work with Security Compliance regimes ( ISO etc).
* Microsoft MSCE will be added advantage.
* With the following experiences will be added advantage:
* Install, configure & deploy Windows Operating Systems server (Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Operating Systems; including AD and MS Exchange)
* SQL Administration
* Windows security & server hardening
* Linux and Unix
* develop processes related to IT security
* VMware experience and technical certification
* Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
