Responsibilities:
Summary:
The Sourcing Agent’s primary responsibility is to purchase goods and materials. The Sourcing Agent will work closely with the Procurement Manager, independent 3rd party suppliers, and internal departments as necessary to maximize the purchase of goods and materials for the company. This position requires the ability to develop strong partnerships with suppliers, the ability to negotiate the buying and reliable delivery of purchased inventory under favorable terms, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English and Mandarin.
This position recommends skills in sales, purchasing, negotiation and telemarketing
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
• Work to improve the supply of inventory available by telemarketing
• Work with the procurement manager to implement sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts and supply agreements
• Continuously improve the supply base through supplier base expansion
• Work closely with the pricing department to effectively reduce cost and prevent errors in orders
• Manage commercial relationships including resolution of any disputes that arise related to supply
• Report as needed and assigned
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, ethical practices, and Code of Conduct
Requirements:

Key Competencies required:
• experience in procurement is an advantage
• Sales skills
• Strong communication skills in English
• Computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, internet, etc.)
• Self driven, results¬ oriented, and motivated to work effectively without direct supervision
• Strong writing/typing communication skills in Mandarin and English.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
> B.S. or B.A. in Business, Sales or Marketing recommended but not required
> Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Marketing/Business Development or equivalent.
