Oracle Business Intelligence Consultant

Responsibilities:
• Technical competence, Problem solving & Communications
o Produce technical designs and be actively involved in the management and hands on support of OBI projects
o Collaborate with the Support Manager to Scope, Define, Plan, Design & Implement enhancements to the existing production OBIEE instance. This would include OBIEE, DAC & Informatica configuration.
Maintain, design and configure the OBIEE metadata (including business & physical models, session & repository variables, initialisation blocks, physical & complex joins, dimensional hierarchies, security), Dashboard reports and embedded reports.
Maintain, design and configure the DAC metadata (including execution plans, tasks and configuration)
Maintain, design and configure the Informatica metadata (including Mappings, Workflows, etc)
o Maintain and extend architecture & functional/technical design documentation and be actively involved in the management and ‘hands-on’ delivery of OBI enhancements.
o Manage the installation of the OBIEE application suite (along with all components of OBIApplications, DAC, Informatica & their configuration) and other related components across various environments as applicable. Apply platform patches as applicable
o Set up and configured Usage Tracking and related Subject Area and their related dashboard and reports
o Coordinate and conduct Regression/Progressing testing execution and defect fixing to ensure high quality solution delivery into client environment.
o Assist and take ownership of all necessary operations to ensure delivered solution is optimized for continuing Production execution (eg: performing database server & application server tuning)
o Be prepared to be flexible and work outside of normal office hours to achieve some project implementation deadlines. Be prepared for occasional travel from time to time, as required by customers and projects.
o Conduct Functional & Technical QA across numerous BBS support projects as and when applicable
o Deliver application demo, user training and support throughout the lifecycle the project with the client and internally within BBS.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , any field.
* At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Understand the functionality provided by the Oracle BI solution and it’s component applications
* At least three years experience implementing or administrating Oracle Business Intelligence/Analytics solutions or similar BI platforms
* Good knowledge of Data Warehouse design concepts and OBIEE design best practices
* Good knowledge of Siebel CRM and associated data-model
* Sound business knowledge of BI principles and processes as it may relate to one or more of the following industries / functional areas: Call Centres, Customer Service, Sales Force Automation, Marketing Automation, Communications, Finance, Consumer Goods, Utilities etc
* Good communication skills, both oral and written
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently as required.
* Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage time to meet commitments.
* Must be willing to undergo training in Sydney, Australia for at least 3 months.
