DSM Manila – Audio Visual Technician

Audio Visual Technician

Responsibilities:

• Scheduling, monitoring, and maintaining video conferences via the Tandberg Management Suite (TMS)
o Schedule the Video Conference into the TMS system checking availability of the units
o Monitor each Video Conference from start to finish to ensure that no calls drop, and that there are no issues with service such as poor sound quality.
o Maintain equipment remotely to ensure that units are fully functional and active within the TMS system.
• Liaising with the local office Reception/Concierge to ensure the meeting room(s) and equipment is available and booked following local office room and equipment booking procedures.
• Connect to all Video Conferences using the TMS.
• Assist with remote troubleshooting or reconnections via the TMS system.
• Organize all Firm WebEx connections required via Video Conferences.
• Ensuring that all global inventory information is updated on a regular basis
• Assist with media editing and duplication which includes DVDs, CDs, VHS, and online distribution using both Mac and PC editing software.
• Editing of digital images as necessary, utilizing various editing and graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Apple Aperture.

• Maintain the practice of continuous improvement and education by attending seminars, etc. and keeping current on new leadership skills.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing related professional publications.
• Stay in tune with the Firm’s growing projects for practical experience.
• Comfortably interact with all levels of staff.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Evaluations will be carried out yearly with a six monthly review by your Manager. In situations where your Manager is based in an alternative location input will be provided by a Director/Manager in your office. Objectives will be set and reviewed during the course of the year to ensure that you have shown initiative to complete your goals.

Position Summary:

Provide users of the firm with reliable communications by addressing all issues concerning the Firm’s need for audio visual reinforcement, video conferencing and multi-media production, scheduling and monitoring. Provide assistance to other offices needing expertise in this area on an as need basis. Perform other duties as required by the Firm.

Requirements:

• 2 + years hands on experience in video capturing and editing, digital conversions, and working and handling audio/visual equipment.
• Prior experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier software.
• Prior video conferencing usage and operator support experience including Tandberg Management Suite.
• Prior experience with online media formats, conversions, and distribution technology.
• College degree or relative work experience.
• Solid understanding of E.164/H.323/H.320 protocols.
• Knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows 2000/XP.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent communications skills, computer skills, customer service skills, follow-up skills and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to think creatively. Strong analytical skills.
• Creative and detail oriented person with the willingness to learn.
• Ability to cover different shifts patterns. Ability to lift or move equipment, as needed.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for tax accounting duties in the following areas:

-Reconcile general ledger accounts
-Perform various balance sheet reconciliations and financial analyses
-Communicate with other firm offices involved in the input of tax related entries
-Prepare reports for review by the firm’s Tax Dept located in New York
-Ongoing communication with the firm’s Tax Dept located in New York

* Prepare schedules and financial analyses of:

-Balance Sheet accounts
-Profit and Loss/Expense accounts
-Partner compensation related accounts
-Tax accounts
-Partner Liability and Capital accounts

* Working with and assisting members of the Tax Dept in New York and other offices in the network.

* Assist New York Tax department in maintaining check lists and forms related to partners’ taxes.

* Ensure distributions are properly recorded in the Accounting System

* Maintain file with all supporting documentation for deductions, special requests, wiring instructions, etc.

* Calculate and update percentages’ interests.

* Prepare annual budget schedule of capital interest payable to retired partners and pension payments.

* Prepare multiple schedules and comparative analyses to ensure accuracy in calculations by partner platoon.

* Review processing of disbursement invoices and adjust for errors.

* Add/remove new/leaving partners’ data from schedules, update existing partner personal data, location changes and changes in partner levels/allocations

* Responsible for the reconciliation of related general ledger accounts and reconciling the equity and contract partner salary and bonus schedules with the related accounts maintained by offices not operating in the Elite accounting system.

Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree or Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Knowledge of GAAP accounting Good communication skills, both written and verbal Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment Intermediate or advanced user of MS Excel.

Responsibilities:

* Position Summary:
* Communications & Distributions is a team within White & Case’s Knowledge and Information Management Systems (“K.I.M.S.”) department. The team consists of a number of lawyers and supporting administrative staff, and focuses on working with legal practice groups to help configure tools and knowledge resources, including user information and e-mail distribution lists, in ways that optimize their value to practicing lawyers.
* The Communications and Distributions Data Clerk will assist the Distribution List Coordinator and the entire Communications & Distributions team with various aspects of data management and administrative duties relating to e-mail distribution lists, user information, matter information, and other data support functions. The individual will work the Manila overnight shift in order to coordinate with the New York day shift. The focus will be the organization and implementation of efforts to clean up data and to synchronize, often via manual processes, with parallel data in other systems.
* Duties and Accountabilities:
* •Updating user accounts and e-mail distribution list membership in Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC) or other similar applications or interfaces.
* •Assisting the Communications & Distributions Team with drafting, reviewing, comparing, auditing, data entry, and data management through graphs, spreadsheets, word documents, ADUC query reports or other query based reports relating to user accounts and e-mail distribution list configuration, membership and maintenance.
* •Assisting the Distribution List Coordinator and Communications & Distributions Team with monitoring, creating and managing incidents in the CA Service Desk system relating to account or e-mail distribution list adjustment requests.
* •In coordination with the Distribution List Coordinator, auditing, on a monthly basis, all legal staff e-mail distribution lists by position (“W&C Associates,” “W&C Counsel,” etc.) to ensure that only authorized changes have been made during the prior month.
* •In coordination with the Distribution List Coordinator, auditing, on a monthly basis, various practice group e-mail distribution lists to ensure that no changes have been made that were not authorized by the list managers designated by those practice groups.
* •Reviewing on a daily basis collections of suggested spam messages sent to e-mail distribution lists registered with the Firm’s externally hosted spam filtering service (“Postini”) and take action as necessary.
* •Assisting the Communications & Distributions Team in maintaining our team’s Intranet pages, Knowledge Bank, Extranet pages, etc.
* •Assisting with updates of matter information in various systems.
* •Handling other tasks and responsibilities as needed.

* Qualifications:
