NOC Engineer

Requirements:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
• help desk support experience including Tier 1 and Tier 2 support levels
• excellent communicator in English
• receive and action email alerts
• ability to be proactive in escalation process
• ability to maintain excellent customer service relations and deal effectively with client’s enterprise IS and IT professionals and end-user customer base
• available to work variety of shifts in a fast-paced 24×7 environment
• proactive in resolving customer issues and ability to ‘think outside the box’
• a high level of judgment, advanced problem solving techniques, and technical writing skills in English
• experience in all Microsoft/Sun/Linux operating systems at the administrator level as well as different types of security software and hardware (firewalls, routers)
• monitor system/network/application status via several web-based tools
• intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, network connectivity and management, the OSI model, LAN/WAN understanding and administration experience is preferred
• experience with different types of security software and hardware
• should have experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting server-related problems, such as performance problems, permissions issues and lockups
• knowledge of wireless carrier networks, including (but not limited to), 3g, GSM, GGSN, Radius, APN, WAP, MMS, video streaming
• knowledge of telecom carrier data billing systems
• preferred knowledge of deep packet inspection technologies, OSI model etc
• knowledge of database technologies (MySQL and Oracle)

DEFINED SKILLS:
• experience of wireless carrier networks, including (but not limited to), 3g, GSM, GGSN, Radius, APN, WAP, MMS, video streaming
• experience of TELECOM CARRIER DATA BILLING SYSTEMS
• experience of deep packet inspection technologies, OSI model etc
